So, you’re interested in writing a guest post on The Books That Made Us? Excellent news! Every post is penned by a guest writer so we need plenty of submissions! Read on for guidance on what and how to pitch. Who can feature here? Pretty much anyone!
I‘m happy (and relieved) to see you’re shaping it as a place for personal stories through „transformative“ literature, rather than a book-review club. It sounds like a great initiative, thank you!
I was wondering - I have an idea for a guest post but the book that I want to talk about isn't actually a work of fiction. Rather, it's a critical/analytical book that focuses on the history of a certain work. It has definitely had a profound impact on me and my writing, and I would like to pitch it at some point. But would it qualify if it's not literature?

That’s absolutely fine! We’ve had someone write about a textbook in the past, so very happy to have the book that made you be a piece of non-fiction
Thank you very much!
I would like to pitch it soon.
Great stuff. I've submitted my pitch, hope you like the idea. Cheers
Looking forward to reading it
ooh jolly dee. I submitted it through the form you set up. 😊 Thanks for the opportunity to pitch
Thank you! I love The Books That Made Us!
I love this idea. I read substack, have not written on substack. This may be the time I give it a try. Thanks for opportunity.
You’re welcome to pitch, Linda!
Question? Do you accept non-fiction books (not including religious texts) or memoirs?
Absolutely! Have had submissions for non-fiction, poetry, even a text book! The only no no is a book you wrote yourself
Excited for this project
Thank you for making this so quickly and so crystal clear. Now to choose the book!
